Credits?
Downloading and re-uploading of the files linked on this website is welcome.
This website differs from most in that I don’t require credit to be given if you choose to do so. Even if you used my links directly, that’s okay. It is simply absurd to try to get credit for ripping an album that actually belongs to someone else (the musician). Really, it is what it is.
“But if that’s so, why do you tag your files with the domain name?”
Well, I did take the time to upload those files for visitors of this website. If someone comes across a download link and visits the website because of it, it helps spread the music. Make sense?
However, if you do choose to link back to this website, I personally thank you.
What is bothersome, though, is when people download and re-upload the files and require credit to be given to themselves. This is selfish, rude and extremely hypocritical to what this website stands for. As this site generates more traffic, this kind of act becomes more rampant.
So, my only request is, if you re-upload any of the files found through this website, do not claim them as your own by requiring credit.
Music should be distributed freely and without restraint.
